Really impressed with my revised colour, faith restored!I was wanting to go back to my natural colour (dark blonde) after dying my hair to a very light ash blonde for several years. I had tried eSalon to initially maintain my colour during the pandemic, but as they warned me, I couldn't achieve a light and cool enough blonde to match what I had. I then asked them to revise my colour so that I could cover my existing hair colour which had become so uneven from many different salons and methods with my natural hair colour. They provided a demi-permanent colour to try it out and to transition which I was very receptive to and will continue to use since it's far less damaging, and can always come out if needed. The process was very easy, it took so little time to process compared to bleaching, and the result came out better than I had hoped. My hair looks very even now despite the mess underneath it, and the shade is very cool toned just like I asked for. I have to see how it holds up after several washes, but this is a great non-damaging and low risk way for me to grow out my natural hair colour and have healthier hair. This is fantasticI loved having this sent right to my doorstep ! The color is nice and the instructions detailed and easy to follow. My only complaint is that there wasn’t enough to cover all my hair. Lackluster Results, Spectacular MessI was really excited to try this product. My hair is dark brown naturally so I chose the "soft black intense pearl" color thinking that it would give my hair an interesting violet tone. Nope, it looks almost exactly the same. It's maybe slightly darker. I was disappointed and threw away my supplies. I came back maybe an hour or two later to find that the product had EXPLODED and dripped down the sides of my trash can, onto my shower curtain and onto the floor. The shower curtain was beyond saving as it has a huge glob of dye stuck to it. My floor is still stained. I just don't see the benefit in a product that's four times the price of drug store hair dye but yields basically the same results and creates such a mess afterwards (an issue I've never had with the cheaper dyes). The best at-home hair dye I’ve ever used...The kit is really well put together (love the stain remover wipe!), easy instructions and the dye covers all my hair evenly. But what really makes the esalon experience great is the team that puts together your individual colour based on the information you give them. It’s unique to your hair type and colour - not a “one size fits all” approach of regular at-home box dyes. Personally I’ve made little tweaks to what I’d like my colour to be each time and each time they’ve adjusted it perfectly to my request.
