Did the opposite of what I wantedI request was for a light blonde that would cover greys and eliminate the red tones from my hair. This gave my hair an overall darker tone, and I’m now actually a red head...the greys are not covered at all, in fact, because my hair is now darker they stand out even more. Cancelling my account. BalayageI did my color that I love today followed by the balayage for the first time. I like the effect it’s subtle but gives light to the hair. But the elastics that are included in the kit are not practical at all especially if you have very long hair. It’s difficult to take them out when you are done with a section and have to put your hair down and when your hands are not quit clean and full product to lighten your hair. DisgustedI am completely mortified by the color!! You sent a new color to correct your first faux pas, and made it worse. I specifically asked for NO red, NOR red, NO RED!!! And, my hair is orange!!! Simple, easy to use, makes hair feel like it was never dyed!So I've used box dye many times in my life. My favorite feature of this color set, and why I keep coming back, is that, unlike those other products, my hair doesn't look or smell like it's been dyed! I feel like I'm fooling people b/c they compliment me on my color, and I'm not sure they know it's fake. The instructions are simple and easy to use. Also, I've adjusted the color twice, and the stylist had no problem getting it just as I wanted! So it's a great feature to have salon-level help. It's also nice that you can buy other products you need and get them in the same shipment. Even though the kit comes with all your basic needs, I recommend buying a cape, hair clips (that you don't mind getting dyed), and a timer. It's also good to have either a bowl and brush set or a bottle with a comb at the end with holes in the teeth that release the dye (what I use). You may also want a shampoo and conditioner that's suited to dyed hair. The only down side is that my hair does feel rough after I shampoo it, but then it feels right as rain as soon as I condition, so it's OK! Overall, I will keep coming back b/c this is a great bargain when compared to what you pay at the salon. It's more than you'd pay for a box, but it's also a lot better quality, and you have experts to help whenever you need them! 92 of 99 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Best color everI have been using esalon color for a few years now and I noticed that the quality of the product has improved lately. I have had a few adjustements done to the color in the past year but the last 2 sets that were sent to me were just perfection. best strawberry blonde!!I am sooo in love with my new haircolour!! I have always wanted a strawberry blonde but was always to scared to try it. The shipping went really fast, I had my order after 3 business days. I love the packaging and that the colour set is really easy to use (even for beginners). I am really glad that I got two bottles of colour for my roots and ends (the colour for the roots was a little bit less golden) so it looks really natural and it all blendet really pretty. When I used the hairdye the smell was strong and burned a little bit in my eyes but after i washed my hair the bad smell was gone and i was kept with shiny and smooth hair.
