Colour to darkI found communication in the ordering process, very difficult because the email thread went too long and the emails got mixed up. The colour ended up being too dark and dull. Too darkI wish I could figure out the original combo I had for my winter color. It was a little less golden undertones, and more of a mahogany-plum color, a little more in the mahogany. This last color almost looked black. Way too dark 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Grey coverWhilst I asked for a slightly darker shade this time because the original color didn't cover the gray at the roots it was very dark and didn't cover the grey around the hairline or at the temples. 😔 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Terrible experienceI waited three weeks for my package, only to get the same result as with a random supermarket cheep dye. One of the bottles leaked inside the parcel. The color turned out much warmer than I described. My hair isn’t glossy after the procedure; it looks lifeless and faded, and it didn’t even cover my grey hair. Same issue with every dyeI decided to try this custom color thing as standard dyes don't let one adjust undertones.. I wanted by dye to be as ashy as humanly possible and alas, it was not. something has changedI have ordered over 50 times from eSalon and since October 2025 it seems the formula and grey coverage has changed and no longer sufficient. As long-time customers we rely on consistency and/or transparency. Customer service was responsive, but the experience was frustrating and required correction. Totally disappointedI ordered this looking at all.the reviews online and was very excited to see my customized package with even my name on it. I followed the instructions and mixed the color and the developer in the bottle and shaked vigorously. Meanwhile i was tying my hair and getting ready to apply and next thinkninsee the bottle bulged and it started foaming and that was the beginning of my disappointment. After catching up the overflowed one and the remaining in container i started applying, as i have long hair i took an hour to finish it. As instructed left it for 30 mts and wahed it. Not even a single grey strand was colored, it was such a waste of money and time. I am glad i did not start a subscription. Really upset about this. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
