Not like beforeToday I decided to go to the pharmacy and purchase hair dye. My latest orders from esalons’ were not covering my grays lately. ammonia free - vs with ammonia colorI was excited to learn that e-salon had introduced an ammonia-free version of the permanent color. I tried it for several colorings - and while the color looked ok to start, it faded quickly and lacked the brilliant shine I was used to on my mahogany/copper/highlighted hair. When I last saw my stylist (haircuts, only) I mentioned the issue, and she immediately told me to go back to the ammonia formula, which I have instructed my colorist to change back. Not sure why the ammonia-free color was dull and faded, but as I understand the technology, the ammonia opens up the hair cuticle which allows the color to penetrate deeper into the hair shaft and therefore produce more shine and depth of color. I am hoping my next coloring with the ammonia based formula restores my color to the shiny, deep color I have been used to. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Wasn’t pleasedThis color they adjusted was more brown then red. The front where my grays are didn’t take well and the color seems to fade especially where I have gray in about a week. The only problem I have is the gray hair coverage and the time the color fades is quicker then other box color. Otherwise I would use this regularly. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Perfect Color & great companyI love this stuff. I never had time to get to the salon, and I have received more compliments on my hair color since using it than ever from salons. Also, I had an issue with breaking a bottle this month. Customer service offered me a free replacement without charge, and I wanted to pay! They are so understanding. The best dye I've ever usedI don't normally write reviews but this product is so good i just had to. I've gone through so many brand named dyes just to find the right one that doesn't leave my hair looking cheap and boxed dyed but to find a dye that looks more natural and not like I've just done it myself. I have lots of grey hairs and need to dye my roots every 3 to 4 weeks so going to the hairdressers for me is 2 expensive :( Everytime ive dyed my hair ive either not liked it or I've liked it until ive washed my hair and the colour fade as made me look awful. With this dye its so natural looking it just doesn't look boxed dyed or cheap at all, when you wash it the fading of the product is also very good it doesn't leave a cheap tint colour to my hair its like a natural fading colour which i love and i don't have to dye my hair as quick as i normally would..RESULT!! Great lasting extreme damageLove the color and its lasted a longer time than any I've ever used. The problem- it dried my hair so badly it is breaking and splitting terrible and frizzy.
