Customer service/colorists make all the difference as my hair color evolves.Update 3: Spring 2022 I've been using Esalon color for awhile and they have adjusted my color for me to cover more gray and to soften the color and I LOVE IT. I have to say, I'm not going back to salon color. My stylist is amazing, but it saves me so much money to do it this way and I get compliments on my light auburn shade all the time. Thanks for the great service and changing with me as my color choices have evolved. 2021 Update 2: The replacement color came pretty quickly. I really do like the color and their easy coloring method. Update 1: WHOOPS! Wrong color!! I received my second order a bit late--I understand that it's crazy with the Coronavirus. But, I received the wrong color in the mail. Thank goodness they put our name on the color and poor K---- didn't get her black hair color and I didn't get my copper hair color. The person on the phone was nice when I called in to notify the company, but she only gave me a credit for the shipping after I specifically asked if I could receive credit. She also could not guarantee when I would get my color. It's guaranteed that I like my color. Wrong color!? this time and I'm unsatisfied. I was a customer before the stay at home order. I think it would have been prudent for the company to credit me for the entire purchase this time due to their error. I recommended ESalon on my FB page and I'm rethinking it. Guaranteed means 100% guaranteed. I hope they do something about this. Before this happened, I was delighted with my first order. After my first order, I wrote this: The directions were excellent and the color was amazing. With copper color, it can go horribly wrong and I was nervous for my first order, but the color couldn't be better--it's vibrant without looking brassy or fake. Did not cover my graysI made note to my colorist specifically that gray coverage was the most important thing to me from this experience. My grays were not covered AT ALL! I waited to see at first (a week) was I just seeing blonde streaks instead of grays, and it’s definitely grays. No question about it. 2 of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Salon in a box!This is the best at home hair color I have used. My ginger hair looks bright and shiny and I even used the no ammonia formula. It was easy to apply. I have extremely sensitive skin and until a recent salon disaster went to Aveda salons. Their color is one of the more gentle on the market, but it always left my scalp red, burning, itchy, and generally angry during coloring and for up to a week after. This formula was itchy while I was coloring-BUT after shampooing and conditioning, my scalp was just a little red and the itchiness stopped. I look forward to trying some highlights next! Colour is nothing like originally plannedThe roots colour has given me a band of light colour which is clearly visible along my parting, then ends colour isn’t copper like at all, it’s red/brown which has actually turned my lighter hair sections a Tully pinkish colour. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Hair turned pinkish at the rootsMy hair at the roots actually turned a dark pink/mauve. Is there another recommendation for a custom color. I was a natural red head growing up, now turning white and can't find the right color in a box to get back to red so was going for a strawberry blonde but if that turns my hair pink, looking for another recommendation. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. My Golden Custom ColorThis custom color is a perfect color to add into my golden tresses. It didn’t burn my scalp and I am thrilled it looks so natural but yet gives that beautiful mahogany color coming through.
